Gosh, but it's been a minute since I posted. I've been consumed with my move, and adopting a new dog! The house is coming together ...
Love this, Tara.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Robin. Such beautiful architecture there. Everywhere.
DeleteThat's extraordinarily beautiful, Tara. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos from Morocco. I'm curious about what the man on right is touching with his right hand. Maybe my mind is playing tricks with me because whatever it is looks like a spotted white dog with a black head, but that seems unlikely.
ReplyDeleteI think it IS a spotted white dog! Funny thing is, I never noticed it before you pointed it out.
DeleteThe reason I thought it odd to see a dog appearing to be a pet is that I was under the impression that many people in Muslim countries have an aversion to dogs. A friend who came from Turkey to Bellingham to go to school had a hard time getting used to the fact that Americans love dogs and keep them in their houses and even let them sleep in the same bed with them. She thought of dogs the way we thing of rats. By the time she went back to Turkey, she was able to touch dogs without feeling revulsion. She was quite fond of cats and said that my cat at the time looked like a Turkish cat -- a great compliment!
DeleteSuch a beautiful arch. Do you know more about the subjects of the photo?
