Like robin andrea and roger, you love California as I do. Images like this one are dear to me. I can feel myself walking and experiencing all that goes with that. All senses alive.
Like your Buddha reference. I hadn't heard that, but it makes perfect sense.
I DO love California, its landscape so varied. But this oak and scrub landscape the dominates much of the state is so evocative for me....and the smell of the pines in the Sierra foothills is very distinctive.
