My middle sister lives in Mississippi on the Gulf Coast. When I visited, I was astounded by how flat the land is. Your mysterious photo makes me think of Mississippi delta land rather than California.
I've not been to Mississippi, but the Sacramento Delta looks an awful lot like photos I've seen from MI. Ringed all around by mountains, this is rich farmland.
glad you like it. I'm fond of it but am rather surprised by the positive responses i'm getting about it, especially from my photog friends whose work i admire very much. i guess i'll always be stumped about what grabs people and what doesn't.
Whoa. Those are remarkable trees. I often think about and wonder which came first -- humans or trees. They appear, sometimes, to mirror one another so perfectly.
"It was obvious something terrible happened on the road, but no one said a thing. The trees were silent."
ReplyDeleteoooohhh, mysterious
DeleteWhat a stark landscape.
