people are puzzled that we chose to take a selfie with our iphone....truth is, we have lots of pretty pictures of each other, and didn't feel the need to have a 'pro' at the ceremony. "We did it OUR way...."
I think it looked great and recorded the moment. Nothing else was needed. Why wouldn't you take your own photos with you both being into photography.
